How Does The Advocate Aurora Account work?

MyAdvocateAurora Health Account is a financial account that can help you manage your healthcare expenses. It’s similar to an HSA, but it’s easier to use and more flexible. With an Advocate Aurora account, you can invest in your health plan in the way that works best for you. Advocate Aurora account helps you pay tax-free medical expenses.

You can use pre-tax dollars from your Advocate Aurora account to pay eligible medical expenses for you and your dependents, even if your insurance plan does not cover them. This contains:

  • Co-payments
  • Deductibles
  • Receipts
  • Vision care and dental care (including orthodontics)

Over-the-counter medications, including vitamins and supplements Those funds that are not spent by the end of the year, remain in your account and are carried over to the following year. At Advocate Aurora, there is no “use it or lose it” rule.

You will receive a pre-tax contribution of $100 and an after-tax deduction of $100 for the first year. When your account is open, you can use it to make payments for your medical bills.

Alternatively, it can be used to pay for travel expenses if you have a physical disability as determined by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA). You can use it to pay for not deductible expenses, like medical expenses.
